Hello there. Thanks for your interest in Kensho Film. Please read below before applying:

LA-based Kensho Film is seeking an exceptional, NYU candidate in a non-paid internship capacity with the potential for growth within the company which is currently developing several projects for film and TV — including a YA thriller, a sci-fi series, and a micro-budget feature.

Responsibilities are wide-ranging and will include everything from assisting Kensho Film’s principal (and NYU Tisch alum) Brad Raider, to writing and development to social media to production and post. A knowledge of the filmmaking process is important but not as important as an incredibly high work ethic, passion, integrity, trustworthiness, reliability, and the desire to learn and grow. Ideally, Raider is seeking a candidate who wants to evolve with the company and ultimately produce feature films.

As such, it’s essential that candidates watch our first feature, Kensho at the Bedfellow (free on Amazon Prime and Tubi) to determine a good fit. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they feel aligned with Raider’s previous work as an actor / producer / director. This vision is essential and is what drives Kensho Film, as does a desire to produce emotionally resonant, culturally relevant, and consciousness-expanding content. Applicants will be expected to briefly discuss their experience of the film when applying.

As a teacher and mentor, Raider also sees tremendous value in a candidate who is specifically looking for a one-on-one mentoring opportunity at a very small shingle as opposed to a larger production company or agency where the work environment is more dispersed. Applicants are encouraged not to apply if they’re looking for a large, brand-name, entertainment company. We’re not that (yet).

This will be very hands-on, time-intensive (and incredibly fun) work for the right candidate and an opportunity to get on the ground floor of feature film and TV development and production.
